On October 3, 2009, we lost my
beloved Calirose. She was over 14 years old and had lived a great
life. She was the foundation of our breeding program, and
Marilyn's best dog friend. She was always the leader of our pack
and all the other dogs respected her and listened to her. She was
the official caretaker of our pups, keeping all the dogs except the
mothers away from the babies, especially in the early days of life.
We are profoundly saddened by her departure, but know she is not
suffering or sad any longer. She will lie under our apple trees so
she will always be with us.

Donnie, our beautiful red tri
female, unexpectedly died on December 7, 2001, just two days after her
fifth birthday. She was a strong and positive presence in both our
home and our breeding program. Her unique personality and
fun-loving nature is noticeably absent from our home and we miss her
terribly.

("Ellie")

Ellie
was our little miracle dog who was born with hydrocephalus. In all
respects she appeared to be normal and we raised and loved her for two
years until she unexpectedly died of liver failure in June of
2002.
Although
Ellie was not a part of our breeding program, she was a huge part of our
lives. She was our constant companion and was a joy to have around.
We will always remember her cheerful nature and fun-loving spirit.
Our lives are so much
better for having had our brief time with her.

("Shady")

In
November 2002 we lost Shady due to an intestinal blockage. Shady
was a daughter of ARBA Ch. Destiny's Sidekick in Black and Bonza! Silver
Fawn, the exceptional breeding that produced Heather Pozzi's Emily,
Katherine Szafran's Callie, Lynn Whinery's Moon, and Roper, the beautiful black tri male who
is a carbon copy of his sire.
Shady had a kind heart and loving nature. She was a
totally devoted companion, never asking for anything more than a kind
word and gentle touch. She was a strong, quiet dog, never wanting
to create any problems, but never backing away when one came
calling.
Shady
spent her last year with Warren and Lisa in Oregon, who loved her as
much as we did. They took wonderful care of her and Shady never
wanted for anything. Shady had a difficult life in some areas and
rather than have Shady endure any additional hardship, Lisa lovingly let her
go. It was the kindest gift Shady could have received.

("Shiloh")

Sadly,
in June 2003 we had to let go of our elegant, magnificent Shiloh.
He had been badly neglected and somewhat abused in his first year of
life, and never really got over the emotional trauma. Also, in
October 2001, he was rolled by a horse, causing permanent injury to his
back and neck. Although we had worked hard to stabilize his
emotional health and were making wonderful progress with him, the
injuries to his back and neck exacerbated an already difficult situation
and he was unable to live a healthy, happy life. Even medication to ease his
pain ceased working after a few months. After three years of
working with him, loving him, and giving him the best home we possibly
could, we made the agonizing decision to let him go, thus releasing
him from a life of constant pain.
Shiloh
was one of the most devoted dogs we've ever had, extremely bonded to us,
and the world's best watchdog. We miss him terribly - he will
always have a special place in our hearts and in our home.
("Taylor")

Taylor
was a beautiful dog with a gentle and loving nature toward her owner, Lisa Stirnemann of Timber Mini Aussies. Unfortunately, she had
some health issues that could not be resolved and so she left us in
September of 2004 at the age of 19 months. She brought Lisa and
her husband, Warren, a great deal of joy during her brief stay on earth,
as well as a great deal of agony in coming to the decision that her life
was not meant to be.
At
less than one year of age, Taylor attained her IABCA Junior Championship
in one weekend and was pointed in both ARBA and NAMASCUSA.
Lisa
and Warren were extremely brave in their final decision regarding
Taylor, knowing that letting her go was the greatest act of love and
devotion they could give her.
